Before joining Rocke Law Group, Erik practiced at regional and national litigation firms, where he represented corporate clients, insurers, professionals, and businesses in high-stakes disputes involving employment law, worksite injury, professional liability, breach of contract, construction defect, medical malpractice, aviation, personal injury, and other complex claims. His litigation background includes discovery, depositions, motion practice, mandatory arbitration, mediation, expert witness work, and trial preparation – experience he now applies to help employers make informed decisions before, during, and after workplace disputes arise.
Erik has achieved significant results for clients in matters with substantial financial and operational exposure, including saving a client $1.7 million in a Washington State Department of Labor and Industries appeal and winning summary judgment in a breach of contract case involving alleged damages of $26 million. He has also supervised associate attorneys through all stages of litigation and has experience managing complex, multi-party matters, giving him a strong foundation for representing employers in disputes where strategy, preparation, and risk control matter.
His path to practice also reflects a commitment to public service, disciplined legal analysis, and client-centered advocacy. He served as an extern for the Honorable John Erlick of King County Superior Court and in the Peace Corps as a Community Health HIV/AIDS Educator in Swaziland, where he organized prevention education events, taught life skills, and supported community development projects.
