Before becoming an attorney, he was an in-house human resources leader, which provided him with a uniquely insightful perspective. He experienced the day-to-day employee management, high-risk decision-making, and compliance strategy building and execution that he now advises employers on. Aside from advising Washington employers on workplace policies, handbooks, employment practices, and high-risk personnel decisions, he defends them in wage and hour disputes, class actions, agency investigations, and other claims.  

Having grown up working in his family’s restaurant in California, he feels connected to the people running restaurant and hospitality businesses in Washington. While that is his primary industry focus, he advises business owners in healthcare, skilled trades, financial services, architecture, engineering, security industries, and more. 

Employment Attorney Ronald Tang is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Asian Bar Association of Washington, and the Hawaii State Bar Association. He is a board member of the Mercer Island Schools Foundation.
